Explicit Consent
Last updated: 26 October 2026 (draft v0.1)
This text records your explicit consent, under KVKK art. 6, to the processing of vote data that may qualify as special-category personal data. Please read the KVKK Information Notice before accepting.
What you consent to
Depending on the poll's topic, your votes on Hangisi may indirectly reveal special-category data such as political opinions, philosophical beliefs, religion, sect or other beliefs, health or sex life.
By accepting this text, you explicitly consent to [Company name]:
- Storing your votes linked to your account so that you can cast only one vote per poll and change or withdraw it;
- Copying your age range, gender and city at the time of voting to the vote record, and using this only to produce anonymous aggregate statistics (age, gender or city breakdowns);
- Storing this data through the hosting and infrastructure providers listed in the KVKK Information Notice, with the safeguards described there.
Our commitments
- We never show any user, including the poll's author, who voted for which option.
- We never make votes cast in anonymous mode visible later.
- We never show statistic slices with fewer than 5 votes, and never cross breakdowns (e.g. age + city).
- We never send which option you voted for to analytics tools.
- The vote–user link is not accessible in the admin panel; it can only be accessed in a mandatory moderation or legal case, by an authorised administrator, with an audit log.
On “Open polls” created by Hangisi+ members, your vote is visible to the poll's author. A clear warning is shown on the card before you vote; whether to vote is your choice.
Withdrawing consent
You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to [contact email] or by deleting your account. Withdrawal takes effect from that moment on; the link between your votes and your account is removed and the votes remain only as anonymous counts and statistics.
Because the one-vote rule requires votes to be linked to accounts, voting is not available without this consent.
[Review: there is no in-app flow for withdrawing consent yet; this section must be finalised with a product decision. Assess whether consent required for the service meets the “freely given” requirement.]
Acceptance
You accept this text at sign-up by ticking “I explicitly consent to my votes being stored linked to my account and used in anonymous statistics.” Your acceptance is recorded with the document version and date.
